Christmas 2008

This was a busy Christmas season. Now we have a week between Christmas and the beginning of a New Year to relax for a while. This post will have photos of Sigrid and other cast members from the New Stage Theatre version of 'A Christmas Carol'. In the next post, you will see sweet Miss Emily Kay Kirk with her very first gingerbread man (also notice in one photo what happened when we took him away from her.) Are we glad this little girl lives near us? You bet we are...we love our Emily Kay. Know who can make this baby smile? Auntie Sigrid! Each photo you see was taken with Emily Kay smiling at Auntie Sigrid. I believe it's a mutual admiration!

Sigrid, too, has been a busy girl! In November she played Pauline in Jackson Academy's production of 'West Side Story'. Scroll down for photos. Now she is playing Suzanne Cratchit in New Stage Theatre's production of 'A Christmas Carol'.

Sentimental Summer

Summer may still be here but school officially starts on Monday. We had a great summer! In honor of 'The Summer of '08' this post will picture a Seaside Sunset (is there any better kind?.) Emily Kay Kirk was baptised at the United Methodist Church in Madison, Mississippi on July 6. This is the same church where Molly and Matthew were married in '05. Brother Bill Barksdale was the officiator for the service. There were lots of friends and family there for support. We took up three pews! Emily Kay Kirk is so lucky to have two Great-Grandmothers (Maxine and Joyce) who were there along with her Great-Aunt Marcia and Aunts Siggy and 'Tia' Carey. (Not to mention two pair of doting grandparents!) We missed Great-Grandmother Mimi and Great-Grandfather Paw, Great-Grandmother Beebie and Great-Grandfather Poppy, Aunt Kelly and Great-uncle Johnny, Great Aunts Gogo and Sharon and Great Uncle Gary. There were silent prayers for Granddaddy Johnny Herrington. Please say your own prayers for Molly and Matthew as they raise their sweet baby girl in the eyes of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Thanks be to God!
